What is Schnitzler syndrome ?

Schnitzler syndrome is an autoinflammatory skin disease occurring in the context of a monoclonal paraproteinaemia.


What is the clinical presentation of Schnitzler syndrome?

Patient usually presents with recurrent urticarial rash accompanied by systemic symptoms (fever, arthralgia, myalgia, lymph node enlargement and hepatosplenomegaly).


What are the lab findings in a patient with Schnitzler syndrome?

Laboratory tests usually show leucocytosis and elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C‐reactive protein (CRP).
