Medical treatment
- Potent topical corticosteroids
- Topical tacrolimus
- Thalidomide :50–100 mg nightly administered for several weeks until remission is achieved and then tapered to as low a maintenance dose as possible (e.g. 50 mg every second or third night).
- β‐carotene.
- Pentoxifylline.
- Tetracycline and vitamin E.
- Oral corticosteroids.
- Azathioprine.
- Topical ciclosporin
- Choloroquine : 250 to 500 mg/day for 3 to 5 weeks
- Hyroxychloroquine : 200 to 400 mg/day for 3 to 5 weeks.
Physical treatment
- Narrow‐band UVB phototherapy
- Psoralen–UVA photochemotherapy
