Tip

  • Spontaneous healing of their lesions in 2 to 6 weeks (self-limited).
  • It may be associated with peripheral neuropathy.
  • Recurrent lesions may lead to ulceration and scarring.

Surgical treatment

  • Sterile aspiration of blisters or placement of a small window in the blister roof.
  • Autologous bone marrow mesenchymal cell transplantation therapy for recurrent cases.

Medical treatment

  • Application of topical antiseptics to reduce discomfort and prevent secondary infection.
  • Antibiotics when secondary staphylococcal infection is present
