Tip
- Spontaneous healing of their lesions in 2 to 6 weeks (self-limited).
- It may be associated with peripheral neuropathy.
- Recurrent lesions may lead to ulceration and scarring.
Surgical treatment
- Sterile aspiration of blisters or placement of a small window in the blister roof.
- Autologous bone marrow mesenchymal cell transplantation therapy for recurrent cases.
Medical treatment
- Application of topical antiseptics to reduce discomfort and prevent secondary infection.
- Antibiotics when secondary staphylococcal infection is present
