Instructions
- Mothers are advised that the risk of a similarly affected infant in subsequent pregnancies is approximately 25%.
- Manifestations other than heart block are
usually transient, pacemaker insertion may be necessary - Sun exposure Avoidance is recommended.
- Oral steroids or antimalarials given to the mother in the first 16 weeks of pregnancy may prevent cardiac problems.
- If suspected , serial foetal echocardiography may be done .
Medical treatment
for skin lesions
- Low‐potency topical steroids
- Antimalarials for persistent skin lesions.
